Become a filer in Pakistan

Non-filers pay roughly double the withholding rate on banking, vehicles, property and dividends. Getting on the Active Taxpayer List takes one NTN registration and one filed return — we do both.

Is this you?

You have never filed, your CNIC is not on the ATL, and you are tired of paying the non-filer rate on every transaction.

What you get for Rs 1,500 + Rs 3,500

  • NTN registration on FBR IRIS against your CNIC
  • Income tax return prepared, computed and filed for the tax year
  • Wealth statement prepared and reconciled — mandatory for individuals
  • Confirmation that your name appears on the next ATL update
  • Written summary of what you filed, for your own records

What we need from you

  • Colour copy of CNIC (front and back)
  • Latest paid electricity bill for the address you want registered
  • Mobile number and email registered in your own name
  • Salary certificate or bank statement for the tax year
  • Details of what you own — property, vehicles, bank balances, investments

How it runs

  1. 01Send your CNIC on WhatsApp

One message with your CNIC and a mobile number in your name is enough to start. No forms.

  2. 02NTN issued in 1–2 days

We register you on IRIS and confirm the NTN. Your IRIS credentials stay yours.

  3. 03Return prepared and checked

We build the computation and the wealth statement, then send them to you before anything is filed.

  4. 04Filed and confirmed

You approve, we file, and you get the acknowledgement plus the date your ATL status goes live.

Questions people actually ask

How long before my name shows on the ATL?

FBR publishes the Active Taxpayer List weekly, normally updated every Monday. A return filed on time generally reflects on the next update after filing. If you are filing for a prior year after the due date, ATL inclusion is subject to the surcharge payable under the Income Tax Ordinance.

Do I need to file if my income is below the taxable limit?

Filing and taxability are two different questions. You can owe zero tax and still be required to file, and you can file voluntarily purely to get on the ATL. Owning a vehicle above the prescribed engine capacity, owning immovable property above the prescribed size, or holding a commercial electricity connection are each independent triggers for the filing requirement.

Will FBR now start sending me notices?

Filing correctly reduces notice risk rather than raising it. Most notices are generated where FBR holds third-party data — bank profit, property transactions, vehicle registrations, withholding statements filed by your employer — that does not reconcile with what was declared. A complete return with a reconciled wealth statement is what closes that gap.

Can you do this if I live outside Pakistan?

Yes. The whole engagement runs over WhatsApp and email. If you are a non-resident, see the overseas Pakistani page instead — the residency position changes what has to be declared.
