1. Who we are

Chartered Advisory ("we", "us") provides tax, accounting, registration and advisory services in Pakistan through this website, charteredadvisory.com.pk. For anything in this policy, contact hello@charteredadvisory.com.pk.

2. Information we collect

• Contact details you submit through the contact form, WhatsApp or email — name, phone number, email address and your message.
• Engagement information you provide for a service — for example CNIC copies, salary certificates, bank statements, business records and other documents needed to prepare a registration, return or set of accounts.
• Chartered Books account data if you create an account — your email, name, password (stored only as a secure hash) and the accounting, payroll and contact records you enter into your books.
• Directory listings you choose to submit for publication, which are reviewed before they appear publicly.
• Technical data needed to run the site securely, such as server logs and the verification token from Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from abuse.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, deliver the services you engage us for, prepare and submit filings you authorise, operate your Chartered Books account, meet our own legal and professional record-keeping obligations, and keep the website secure. We do not sell the personal information you provide to us, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. This is separate from the advertising cookies described in section 7, which are set by Google and do not involve the contact, account or engagement details you give us.

4. Sharing

Information is shared only where the engagement requires it (for example, submissions to FBR or SECP that you have authorised), with service providers that host and secure this website, or where the law requires disclosure. Anyone processing data on our behalf is limited to that purpose.

5. Retention

Engagement records are retained for at least six years, in line with statutory record-keeping requirements in Pakistan, and then securely deleted. Chartered Books data is retained while your account remains active. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored as secure hashes, account access is protected by verification and rate-limiting, and access to client records is limited to the people working on your engagement. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

7. Cookies, local storage and advertising

To run the site we use only what it needs to function: a session credential when you sign in to Chartered Books, browser local storage for drafts and preferences on your own device, and Cloudflare Turnstile for form protection.

When advertising is active, this website displays third-party advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to serve, limit and measure ads. We do not load the AdSense tag until the required Google-certified consent message has been published.

For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google’s certified consent platform presents the required choices before advertising storage is enabled. You can accept, reject or manage purposes and vendors in that message and revisit the choice through its privacy entry point. Refusing consent does not restrict access to our content. You may also manage personalised advertising through Google My Ad Center and delete cookies in your browser. 8. Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are legally or professionally required to keep. Email hello@charteredadvisory.com.pk and we will respond within a reasonable period.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new "last updated" date.
